Anti-fem 1 homolog c antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the FEM1C gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 617 amino acid residues and a mass of 68.7 kDa. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Fem-1 protein family, it is known to be involved with protein ubiquitination. Other names for this target antigen include protein fem-1 homolog C and FEM1-gamma. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
