Anti-tachykinin precursor 3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TAC3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 121 amino acid residues and a mass of 13.4 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. It is a member of the Tachykinin protein family. The gene encoding this protein is implicated in Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism 10 with or without anosmia. Other names for this target antigen include LncZBTB39, NK3, NKB, NKNB, PRO1155, ZNEUROK1, tachykinin-3, and HH10. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
