Anti-SEPTIN7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein septin 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 437 amino acid residues and a mass of 50.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Septin GTPase protein family, SEPTIN7 is known to be involved with cell differentiation and cilium assembly. Synonyms for this target antigen include CDC3, NBLA02942, SEPT7A, CDC10 (cell division cycle 10, S. cerevisiae, homolog), CDC10 protein homolog, and CDC10. SEPTIN7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
