Anti-CCO antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CCO is a known alias name of the protein ryanodine receptor 1, encoded by the RYR1 gene in humans. This 5038-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a calcium channel that mediates the release of Ca(2+) from the sarcoplasmic reticulum into the cytoplasm and thereby plays a key role in triggering muscle contraction following depolarization of T-tubules. It is reported to be expressed in the skeletal muscle, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. The term CMYP1A is another synonym for CCO. Indicated applications for CCO antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
