Anti-skp-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the skp-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SKP1 gene, which encodes S-phase kinase associated protein 1. This protein is known to function in chromatin remodeling and protein ubiquitination, among other biological roles. The human version of skp-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 163 residues and a protein mass of 18.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. skp-1 is a member of the SKP1 protein family.
