Anti-MIX23 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial matrix import factor 23. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 144 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.6 kDa. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the MIX23 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain containing 58, coiled-coil domain-containing protein 58, and protein MIX23. MIX23 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
