Anti-Thioredoxin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene TXN in humans. The Thioredoxin protein has an expected mass of 11.7 kDa, but there are 2 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as Thioredoxin 1, TRDX, TRX, TRX1, ADF, and ATL-derived factor. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including porcine and monkey.
