Anti-GASK1A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein golgi associated kinase 1A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 575 amino acid residues and a mass of 63.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER, Golgi, and is secreted. It is reported to be expressed in skin, lung and colon. It is a member of the GASK protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including O-glycosylation and protein cleavage. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 198 member A and protein FAM198A. GASK1A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
