Anti-Fatty acid binding protein 4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FABP4 in humans. The gene may also be known as fatty acid binding protein 4, adipocyte, A-FABP, AFABP, ALBP, HEL-S-104, and fatty acid-binding protein, adipocyte. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 14.7 kilodaltons in mass. The FABP4 marker can be used to identify Alveolar Macrophages CCL3+ Cells, Alveolar Macrophages, Alveolar Macrophages Proliferating Cells, Alveolar Macrophages Mt+ Cells, and Adipocytes.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
