Anti-C1QTNF3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein C1q and TNF related 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 246 amino acid residues and a mass of 27 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in colon and small intestine. C1QTNF3 is known to be involved with fat cell differentiation and the regulation of gene expression. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include C1q and tumor necrosis factor related protein 3, cartonectin, collagenous repeat-containing sequence 26 kDa protein, and complement C1q tumor necrosis factor-related protein 3. C1QTNF3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of C1QTNF3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
