Anti-metallothionein 4 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the MT4 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 62 amino acid residues and a mass of 6.5 kDa. It is a member of the Metallothionein protein superfamily. Other names for this target antigen include metallothionein-IV. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. These metallothionein 4 antibodies are widely used in ELISA experiments, among other applications.
