Anti-protein kinase, cGMP-dependent, type II antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the protein kinase, cGMP-dependent, type II antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PRKG2 gene, which encodes protein kinase cGMP-dependent 2. This protein is known to function in chondrocyte differentiation and protein localization to the plasma membrane, among other biological roles. The human version of protein kinase, cGMP-dependent, type II has a canonical amino acid length of 762 residues and a protein mass of 87.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include AMD4, PKG2, and PRKGR2.
