Anti-NSG1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein neuronal vesicle trafficking associated 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 185 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.9 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the NSG protein family, NSG1 is reported to play a role in the recycling mechanism in neurons of multiple receptors, including AMPAR, APP and L1CAM and acts at the level of early endosomes to promote sorting of receptors toward a recycling pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include D4S234E, NEEP21, P21, neuronal vesicle trafficking-associated protein 1, and D4S234. NSG1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some NSG1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
