Anti-Microfibril associated protein 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MFAP2 in humans. The gene may also be known as microfibrillar-associated protein 2, MAGP, MAGP-1, MAGP1, and microfibril-associated glycoprotein 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 20.8 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
