Anti-angiopoietin-like 6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ANGPTL6 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 470 amino acid residues and a mass of 51.7 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. It is believed to play a role in the wound healing process. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include angiopoietin-like protein 6, angiopoietin-related growth factor, angiopoietin-related protein 5, and angiopoietin-related protein 6.
