Anti-AP3S1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein adaptor related protein complex 3 subunit sigma 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 193 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and membrane. A member of the Adaptor complexes small subunit protein family, AP3S1 is known to be a part of the AP-3 complex, an adaptor-related complex which is not clathrin-associated. Synonyms for this target antigen include Sigma3A, AP-3 complex subunit sigma-1, adapter-related protein complex 3 subunit sigma-1, adaptor related protein complex 3 sigma 1 subunit, and CLAPS3. AP3S1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some AP3S1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
