Anti-Contactin 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CNTN1 in humans. The gene may also be known as GP135, F3, MYPCN, glycoprotein gP135, and neural cell surface protein F3. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 113.3 kilodaltons in mass. The CNTN1 marker can be used to identify Brain Splatter Neurons.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
