Anti-GP3A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target GP3A is a known alias name of the protein integrin subunit beta 3, encoded by the ITGB3 gene in humans. This 788-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and cell adhesion, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the bone marrow. Other synonyms for GP3A include BDPLT16, BDPLT2, and BDPLT24. Some GP3A antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
