Anti-solute carrier family 4 member 1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The solute carrier family 4 member 1 antigen is another term for the human protein solute carrier family 4 member 1 (Diego blood group), encoded by the SLC4A1 gene. The protein is reported to function both as a transporter that mediates electroneutral anion exchange across the cell membrane and as a structural protein. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 911 residues and a mass of 101.8 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is notably expressed in erythrocytes. The solute carrier family 4 member 1 protein is a member of the Anion exchanger (TC 2.A.31) protein family.
