Anti-DGK-alpha antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DGK-alpha antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DGKA gene, which encodes diacylglycerol kinase alpha. This protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids and intracellular signal transduction, among other biological roles. The human version of DGK-alpha has a canonical amino acid length of 735 residues and a protein mass of 82.6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include DAGK, DAGK1, and DGK-alpha. Western Blot is the most common application for the DGK-alpha antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
