Anti-RTL8B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein retrotransposon Gag like 8B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 113 amino acid residues and a mass of 13.2 kDa. It is a member of the FAM127 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include Sushi-Ichi retrotransposon homolog 1, family with sequence similarity 127 member C, mammalian retrotransposon derived protein 8B, and retrotransposon Gag-like protein 8B. RTL8B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the RTL8B antibodies listed below. Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
