Anti-SH3GL3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SH3 domain containing GRB2 like 3, endophilin A3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 347 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the cerebral cortex and testis. A member of the Endophilin protein family, SH3GL3 is reported to be implicated in endocytosis . The SH3GL3 marker can be used to identify Type 3 Descending Thin Limb Cells and Ascending Thin Limb Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include EEN-B2, HsT19371, SH3D2C, SH3P13, endophilin-A3, and CNSA3. SH3GL3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SH3GL3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
