Anti-RTP5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein receptor transporter protein 5 (putative). In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 572 amino acid residues and a mass of 60.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is notably expressed in the caudate and hypothalamus. Synonyms for this target antigen include 3CxxC-type zinc finger protein 5, CXXC finger protein 11, CXXC-type zinc finger protein 11, receptor (chemosensory) transporter protein 5 (putative), and receptor-transporting protein 5. RTP5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the RTP5 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
