Anti-KIAA1024 like antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target KIAA1024 like is a known alias name of the protein membrane integral NOTCH2 associated receptor 2, encoded by the MINAR2 gene in humans. This 190-amino acid residue protein is known to bind cholesterol and may regulate the distribution and homeostasis of cholesterol in hair cells. It is localized to the ER and lysosomes of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the auditory hair cells.
