Anti-DLG5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein discs large MAGUK scaffold protein 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1919 amino acid residues and a mass of 213.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in normal breast tissues and low-grade breast cancer tissues. A member of the MAGUK protein family, DLG5 is known to act as a regulator of the Hippo signaling pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include P-DLG5, PDLG, disks large homolog 5, discs large protein LP-DLG, discs large protein P-dlg, and LP-DLG. DLG5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some DLG5 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
