Anti-POLR1C antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RNA polymerase I and III subunit C. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 346 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the Archaeal Rpo3/eukaryotic RPB3 RNA polymerase subunit protein family. The POLR1C gene has been associated with the disease, Treacher Collins syndrome. Synonyms for this target antigen include HLD11, RPA39, RPA40, RPA5, RPAC1, RPC40, TCS3, and AC40. POLR1C gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some POLR1C antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
