Anti-NPBWR2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein neuropeptides B and W receptor 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 333 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, NPBWR2 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include neuropeptides B/W receptor type 2, G-protein coupled receptor 8, neuropeptides B/W receptor 2, opioid-somatostatin-like receptor 8, and GPR8. NPBWR2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the NPBWR2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Western Blot are also common applications.
