Anti-CATSPERE antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein catsper channel auxiliary subunit epsilon. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 951 amino acid residues and a mass of 109.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the CATSPERD protein family, CATSPERE is reported to be an auxiliary component of the CatSper complex, a complex involved in sperm cell hyperactivation. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include catSper-epsilon, catSperepsilon, cation channel sperm-associated protein subunit epsilon, uncharacterized protein C1orf101, and cation channel sperm-associated auxiliary subunit epsilon. CATSPERE gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA is the most common application for the CATSPERE antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
