Anti-FLACC1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein flagellum associated containing coiled-coil domains 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 445 amino acid residues and a mass of 52.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. Synonyms for this target antigen include ALS2 chromosome region 12, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis 2 (juvenile) chromosome region, candidate 12, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis 2 chromosomal region candidate gene 12 protein, and flagellum-associated coiled-coil domain-containing protein 1. FLACC1 gene orthologs have been reported in the rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species.
