Anti-HDHD5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein haloacid dehalogenase like hydrolase domain containing 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 423 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.3 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. It is a member of the HAD-like hydrolase protein superfamily. Synonyms for this target antigen include cat eye syndrome chromosome region, candidate 5, cat eye syndrome critical region protein 5, and CECR5. HDHD5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the HDHD5 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
