Anti-SPATA46 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein spermatogenesis associated 46. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 261 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is reported to have testis-specific expression. SPATA46 is reported to play a role in spermiogenesis and fertilization. Synonyms for this target antigen include spermatogenesis-associated protein 46 and uncharacterized protein C1orf111. SPATA46 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SPATA46 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
