Anti-CIBAR1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein CBY1 interacting BAR domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 289 amino acid residues and a mass of 33.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis, fallopian tube, endometrium, and bronchus. A member of the CIBAR protein family, CIBAR1 is known to act as a positive regulator of ciliary hedgehog signaling (By similarity). The CIBAR1 gene has been associated with the disease, Polydactyly. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 92 member A, family with sequence similarity 92 member A1, protein FAM92A, protein FAM92A1, and CBY1-interacting BAR domain-containing protein 1. CIBAR1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
