Anti-PR/SET domain 4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the PRDM4 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 801 amino acid residues and a mass of 87.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues. A member of the Class V-like SAM-binding methyltransferase protein superfamily, it is believed to function as a a transcription factor involved in cell differentiation. Other names for this target antigen include PR domain zinc finger protein 4, PR domain 4, PR domain containing 4, PR domain-containing protein 4, PR-domain zinc-finger protein PFM1, and PFM1.
