Anti-acyl-CoA oxidase 2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ACOX2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 681 amino acid residues and a mass of 76.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the peroxisomes. A member of the Acyl-CoA oxidase protein family, it is known to be involved with the metabolism of lipids and the response to oxidative stress. Other names for this target antigen include BRCACOX, BRCOX, CBAS6, THCCox, and BCOX.
