Anti-SHCBP1L antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SHC binding and spindle associated 1 like. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 653 amino acid residues and a mass of 72.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in spermatocytes and elongating spermatids inside the seminiferous tubules. SHCBP1L is known to be involved with cell differentiation and spermatogenesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include SHC SH2 domain-binding protein 1-like protein, SHC SH2-domain binding protein 1-like, and testicular spindle-associated protein SHCBP1L. SHCBP1L gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some SHCBP1L antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
