Anti-OVOL1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ovo like transcriptional repressor 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 267 amino acid residues and a mass of 30.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is reported to be expressed in fetal kidney, and also in adult pancreas and placenta. OVOL1 is believed to be a type of transcription factor. Synonyms for this target antigen include putative transcription factor Ovo-like 1, ovo homolog-like 1, ovo like zinc finger 1, ovo-like 1(Drosophila), and HOVO1. OVOL1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of OVOL1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
