Anti-BICRAL antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein BICRA like chromatin remodeling complex associated protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1079 amino acid residues and a mass of 115.1 kDa. BICRAL is known to be a component of SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling subcomplex GBAF that carries out key enzymatic activities, changing chromatin structure by altering DNA-histone contacts within a nucleosome in an ATP-dependent manner. Synonyms for this target antigen include KIAA0240, SMARCK2, BRD4-interacting chromatin-remodeling complex-associated protein-like, and GLTSCR1L.
