Anti-FTHL17 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ferritin heavy chain like 17. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 183 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.1 kDa. It is reported to have testis-specific expression. A member of the Ferritin protein family, FTHL17 is known to be involved with the transport of ions. Synonyms for this target antigen include ferritin heavy polypeptide-like 17, cancer/testis antigen 38, epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, ferritin, heavy polypeptide-like 17, and CT38. FTHL17 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the FTHL17 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
