Anti-PGGHG antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protein-glucosylgalactosylhydroxylysine glucosidase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 737 amino acid residues and a mass of 80.7 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Glycosyl hydrolase 65 protein family, PGGHG is known to catalyze the hydrolysis of glucose from the disaccharide unit linked to hydroxylysine residues of collagen and collagen-like proteins. Synonyms for this target antigen include acid trehalase-like protein 1, testicular tissue protein Li 25, and ATH1, acid trehalase-like 1. PGGHG gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the PGGHG antibodies listed below. Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
