Anti-DLGAP5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DLG associated protein 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 846 amino acid residues and a mass of 95.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is found to be highly expressed in fetal liver. It is a member of the SAPAP protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination and phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include HURP, disks large-associated protein 5, DAP-5, discs large homolog associated protein 5, discs, large homolog 7, and DLG7. DLGAP5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of DLGAP5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
