Anti-NEPRO antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein nucleolus and neural progenitor protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 567 amino acid residues and a mass of 64.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Nepro protein family, NEPRO is believed to play a role in cortex development as part of the Notch signaling pathway. The NEPRO gene has been associated with the disease, Anauxetic dysplasia. Synonyms for this target antigen include C3orf17, NET17, protein nepro homolog, and ANXD3. NEPRO gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot and Immunofluorescence are common applications for NEPRO antibodies.
