Anti-FXYD6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FXYD domain containing ion transport regulator 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 95 amino acid residues and a mass of 10.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebellum and cerebral cortex. A member of the FXYD protein family, FXYD6 is known to be involved with the transport of ions. Synonyms for this target antigen include phosphohippolin. FXYD6 gene orthologs have been reported in the rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some FXYD6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Western Blot are also common applications.
