Anti-STX1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the STX1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the STX1A gene, which encodes syntaxin 1A. This protein is known to function in exocytosis and intracellular protein transport, among other biological roles. The human version of STX1 has a canonical amino acid length of 288 residues and a protein mass of 33 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the hippocampus, colon, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. Other names for this target antigen include HPC-1, HPC-1, and P35-1. Western Blot is the most common application for the STX1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
