Anti-C1QTNF5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein C1q and TNF related 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 243 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.3 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. C1QTNF5 is known to be involved with ear development. The C1QTNF5 marker can be used to identify Brain Oligodendrocyte Precursor Cells and Choroid Plexus Non-Neuronal Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include C1q TNF-alpha-related protein 5, C1q and tumor necrosis factor related protein 5, myonectin, and complement C1q tumor necrosis factor-related protein 5. C1QTNF5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
