Anti-SMC6L1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SMC6L1 is a known alias name of the protein structural maintenance of chromosomes 6, encoded by the SMC6 gene in humans. This 1091-amino acid residue protein is an important component of the SMC5-SMC6 complex, a complex involved in DNA double-strand breaks by homologous recombination. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features ubiquitinated, sumoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Indicated applications for SMC6L1 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
