Anti-RPT1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RPT1 is a known alias name of the protein proteasome 26S subunit, ATPase 2, encoded by the PSMC2 gene in humans. This 433-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the 26S proteasome, a multiprotein complex involved in the ATP-dependent degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
