Anti-IPEX antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the IPEX antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FOXP3 gene, which encodes forkhead box P3. This protein is known to function in chromatin remodeling and inflammatory response pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of IPEX has a canonical amino acid length of 431 residues and a protein mass of 47.2 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, spleen, lymph node, lung, and appendix. Other names for this target antigen include AIID and DIETER. Western Blot is a widely used application for the IPEX antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
