Anti-HSD17B5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HSD17B5 is a known alias name of the protein aldo-keto reductase family 1 member C3, encoded by the AKR1C3 gene in humans. This 323-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in GPCR signaling pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in many tissues including adrenal gland, brain, kidney, liver, lung, mammary gland, placenta, small intestine, colon, spleen, prostate and testis. Other synonyms for HSD17B5 include DD3, DDX, and HA1753. Western Blot is the most common application for the HSD17B5 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
