Anti-FAM221A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein family with sequence similarity 221 member A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 298 amino acid residues and a mass of 33.1 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the FAM221 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein FAM221A and uncharacterized protein C7orf46. FAM221A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunofluorescence is the most common application for the FAM221A antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
