Anti-SLC25A15 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 25 member 15. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 301 amino acid residues and a mass of 32.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is reported to be highly expressed in the liver, pancreas, testis, lung and small intestine. It is a member of the Mitochondrial carrier (TC 2.A.29) protein family. The SLC25A15 gene has been associated with the disease, Hyperornithinemia-hyperammonemia-homocitrullinuria syndrome. Synonyms for this target antigen include HHH, LNC-HC, ORC1, ORNT1, mitochondrial ornithine transporter 1, and D13S327. SLC25A15 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SLC25A15 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
